National Marina Day is an annual celebration of the important role marinas play in waterfront communities all across the country. We believe that America's marinas have a lot to celebrate. Each day, across the country and right here at Dana Point Harbor, we serve as gateways to boating for our local community and visitors, boater-education centers teaching safe and clean boater practices, environmental stewards protecting our waters, and finally family-friendly communities who are united for a shared passion for the water. Now, more then ever, we need clean, safe and relaxing locations at which to spend our leisure time. National Marina Day reminds our visitors and our community that Dana Point Harbor is a local, environmentally-friendly, beautiful waterfront destination.
We hope you will attend the Dana Point Harbor Boat Show & Green Expo, from June 9-12, 2011, to learn about your community's harbor, and enjoy the events we have planned this year.
On National Marina Day, June 11, 2011, we rededicate Dana Point Harbor to being a local, environmentally friendly destination serving Orange County as a gateway for family and friends to enjoy one of America's great natural resources, its waterways.
